These Terms & Service Policies apply when you request an estimate, schedule an appointment, authorize work, or hire Marbury Electric for electrical services.
By approving an estimate or authorizing Marbury Electric to perform work, you acknowledge and agree to the applicable terms below.
1. Estimates and Authorization
Written estimates are valid for 30 days unless a different expiration period is stated on the estimate.
An estimate describes the anticipated scope of work and pricing based on the information and conditions reasonably known at the time the estimate is prepared.
Work will begin after the customer has approved the estimate and any required permits or approvals have been obtained.
If previously unknown conditions are discovered after work begins, including concealed wiring, damaged equipment, unsafe conditions, code-related issues, or other conditions that materially affect the project, additional work or charges may be necessary.
Whenever reasonably possible, Marbury Electric will communicate with the customer and obtain approval before performing work outside the originally approved scope.
2. Licensing and Insurance
Marbury Electric maintains applicable licensing and insurance for the electrical services it provides.
Electrical work is performed by qualified personnel in accordance with applicable electrical codes, regulations, and permitting requirements.
Certificates of insurance may be available upon request, subject to applicable requirements.
3. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for providing safe and reasonably clear access to the areas where work is scheduled.
Customers should:
- Provide access to electrical panels, equipment, and work areas
- Remove or secure personal items that may interfere with the work
- Secure pets during service visits
- Inform Marbury Electric of known hazards or conditions that may affect the work
- Ensure that authorized personnel can provide access to the property when required
If unsafe or inaccessible conditions prevent work from being performed, the appointment may need to be rescheduled.
4. Service Call and Diagnostic Fee
A $99 service call and diagnostic fee applies to applicable service visits and troubleshooting calls.
The $99 fee covers the service visit, travel time, and initial diagnosis of the reported electrical issue.
If the customer approves the recommended repair or installation during the same service visit, the $99 diagnostic fee will be credited in full toward the approved repair or installation cost.
If no additional work is authorized or performed, the $99 service call and diagnostic fee remains due.
The service call and diagnostic fee does not apply to qualifying free estimates for larger projects when the estimate is scheduled in advance.
Examples may include:
- Electrical panel upgrades
- Whole-house rewiring
- EV charger installations
- Certain larger residential or commercial electrical projects
Whether a project qualifies for a free estimate will be determined when the appointment is scheduled.

Our cancellation policy is:

We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate rescheduling requests based on availability.
